Tutoring Brings Opportunities to Life
In 2025, the Corendon Foundation gave a boost to equal opportunities in Amsterdam. Thanks to a targeted donation, Stichting Leergeld Amsterdam was able to organize additional tutoring sessions for children who needed just that extra bit of support.
These children grow up in families where there is no room for paid educational assistance. They often face learning delays, despite having so much potential. With focused guidance and personal attention outside school hours, they began to flourish: they caught up on their learning, gained more confidence, and found their way back in school.
The impact? It’s felt all the way into people’s homes. A proud mother shares:
“I want to thank you enormously for funding the tutoring. Thanks to your support, my daughter advanced to the third year of pre-vocational secondary education (mavo)! She had to make up for a failing grade in math in a short time. It was uncertain whether she would make it – but she did!”
